PianoVision platform introduces AI teacher and enhanced mixed reality features

PianoVision, a leading mixed reality platform for piano learning, is set to deliver a major update just in time for the holiday season. The update, rolling out the week of December 23, introduces a redesigned user interface, improved mixed reality capabilities, an AI piano teacher and an expanded music library featuring thousands of licensed songs.

The platform aims to make learning piano faster, more comprehensive, and accessible to everyone by blending advanced mixed reality technology with personalised instruction.

Users can wear a VR headset to interact with virtual sheet music, tracking falling notes as they align with the keys of their piano or MIDI keyboard. For those without a physical instrument, PianoVision’s Virtual Keyboard employs hand-tracking technology, enabling them to learn and play.

The latest update enhances these features further with custom visual feedback and effects designed to integrate seamlessly into users’ home environments. Improved hand tracking and upgraded sheet music support offer a more precise and intuitive learning experience.

One of the most anticipated additions is Ludwig, an AI piano teacher that provides personalised mentorship. Ludwig adapts to each user’s skill level, offering song recommendations, analysing performances, and answering technique-related questions.

Zac Reid, Founder and CEO of PianoVision, said, ‘Playing the piano is a beautiful experience that we want everyone to enjoy. With these latest updates, including an ever-growing library of popular songs, PianoVision makes learning faster, more intuitive, and more fun - so players can master songs they love and share their talents with confidence.’
